Family meets Naraingarh MLA

AMBALA: The family members and a committee of more than a few social and spiritual organisations on Sunday met state minister and Naraingarh MLA Nayab Singh Saini regarding the blind homicide of Naman Joshi.


In the meeting, Saini assured the family members that the police are investigating the matter properly and culprits shall be arrested soon. On the other hand, the family members and residents' committee have given an ultimatum of 5 days for making arrests in the case.


Dinesh Kumar, father of the deceased, said, "If no arrests are made till Friday, the committee will hold a peaceful march throughout the city. Further decision will be taken by the committee and we may sit on an agitation as we suspect political intervention in the murder. We have already given details of the suspects to the police."


On being asked concerning the prolong in cracking the case, Naraingarh DSP, Amit Kumar Bhatia said, "Our teams under the leadership of Naraingarh SHO and crime investigation agency (CIA) in-charge are working diligently and doing their best to investigate the case. A number of persons are being questioned."


Naman Joshi, 29, a resident of Sector 4 in Naraingarh was once discovered murdered on February 13 overdue night time in the jungle area close to the bus stand in Sector 4. The police had first suspected that Naman had committed suicide but the initial clinical report indicated that he was once murdered.
