CHANDIGARH: In what appears to be a big relief for the violators of establishing bye-laws of the residential units advanced through housing board, the Haryana cabinet on Friday approved the proposal for regularisation of illegal conversion from residential to commercial use.
Once enforced, this may occasionally in large part impact the units in Faridabad, Gurugram, Panchkula, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat districts.
These units will stand transferred to the municipalities and shall be positioned in the house designated as commercial zone in the published Final Development Plan.
While striking a rider at the determination, the cabinet said that the means must be in keeping with the structure plan of the scheme. The assets proposed to be regularised won't be sub-divided from its original dimension as per the approved structure plan of the scheme and no further sub-division of the valuables shall be allowed.
The ground protection, Floor Area Ratio (FAR), top of the development and parking and many others. shall be allowed in keeping with the Haryana Building Code. Further, the development shall be regularised in keeping with permission/compoundable limits as prescribed in the composition coverage/laws and the non-compoundable development shall be demolished prior to grant of permission underneath this coverage.
This will kind out the long-pending litigation, giving relief to the general public. Apart from this, the municipalities may also earn earnings through regularsing these illegal conversions, said city local our bodies minister Kavita Jain.
