Ludhiana: SAD sarpanch's son killed over 'political rivarly'

LUDHIANA: Unidentified miscreants allegedly murdered the younger son of a Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) female sarpanch at village Seh in Samrala within the Ludhiana district. The miscreants allegedly dedicated the crime because of political rivalry with the family of the deceased, recognized as Gurpreet Singh Gura, 32, the son of the SAD sarpanch Ranjit Kaur.

Police officials said that the Gurpreet Singh had enmity with the individuals of any other workforce even before panchayat elections. They added that on Sunday night time, Gurpreet Singh, together with his nephew Sahib Singh, used to be status within the chowk of village when all at once a bunch of four to 5 armed miscreants reached there.


Cops said that with out uttering a phrase, the armed assailants attacked Gurpreet causing more than one injuries with sharp-edged weapons. They added that Sahib Singh in some way managed to flee unharmed and informed his folks who reached the spot to find that assailants had fled leaving at the back of Gurpreet in significantly injured condition.


Police officials said that the Gurpreet used to be rushed via his family to a personal health center in Khanna but he had already died. They added that for the time being police used to be informed concerning the homicide.


On being informed, law enforcement officials from Samrala police station and DSP Samrala Davinder Singh reached the spot and started investigation.


DSP Samrala instructed IdealNews via phone that they'd be registering the homicide case into the subject.
