SURAT: Vigilance officers of Western Railway (WR) seized 213 e-tickets price Rs6.53 lakh and arrested one accused on this connection from Udhana here on Thursday.
Official assets stated the vigilance department officers had performed raids at M/s Tannu Kirana and a cellular store in Udhana based on intelligence on e-ticket racket the use of faux ids and a specialised instrument. The officers seized the computer systems and the instrument that have been getting used within the racket.
The particular person apprehended was recognized as Vasisth Singh. He was passed over to Udhana railway police.
Sources stated the vigilance officers seized 96 live e-tickets valued at Rs3.90 lakh and 117 e-tickets from the ownership of the accused valued at Rs2.63 lakh.
