MYSURU: At least 30 people hurled stones at JD(S) chief Jagadish's automobile, disrupting a rally by way of Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the party's candidate from Mandya, in Krishnarajpet on Friday night time.
Jagadish advised newshounds that his SUV was once within the rear of Nikhil's convoy all through a roadshow in Somanahalli village when the assault happened. "Around 30-40 youngsters attacked our vehicle and stopped us from entering the village," he stated.
The windshield and the frame of the SUV have been broken within the assault, he stated, but the occupants escaped unharmed.
Police arrested two suspects but the others controlled to flee. The village was once hectic after the incident. Police deployed further forces to prevent further violence.
