VISAKHAPATNAM: Two individuals had been killed and five others of a circle of relatives critically injured on Monday in an explosion at a firecracker production unit at Gullepalli below Sabbavaram police station limits in Visakhapatnam district. The deceased had been identified as Durga Rao and Kothamma.
The police stated that seven individuals had been to start with injured within the explosion and they had been admitted to King George Hospital in Vizag city. Two of them succumbed to injuries within the health center.
The intensity of the explosion used to be so sturdy that four huts close to the unit had been also destroyed within the incident.
Speaking to TOI, superintendent of KG Hospital, Dr G Arjuna stated that two of 7 injured died while they had been undergoing treatment within the health center and the situation of the remaining five injured individuals is claimed to be crucial as that they had 3rd stage burns.
