450 villagers near Sulur boycott Lok Sabha poll

Coimbatore: More than 450 voters from Chinnapudur village near Sulur boycotted the overall election to protest the district administration’s failure to retrieve their land from encroachers. The village falls under the Coimbatore Lok Sabha constituency. A source stated the earnings department had given unfastened patta to 10 dalit households in the village. The lands and option to the similar had been encroached by others.
