NEW DELHI: The Centre on Monday extended the ceasefire settlement with two rebel teams in Nagaland by means of one year whilst a fresh pact for suspension of operations used to be signed with some other. A ceasefire is in operation between the Union government and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Neopao Konyak/ Kitovi) and the National Socialist Council of Nagaland/ Reformation (NSCN/R).
It used to be decided to increase the settlement with NSCN/NK and NSCN/R until April 27, 2020, an MHA remark stated. The settlement used to be signed on behalf of the central government by means of joint secretary (northeast) in the house ministry Satyendra Garg; Jack Jimomi, manager, GPRN/NSCN, on behalf of NSCN/NK; and Amento Chishi, manager, and Toshi Longkumer, secretary, on behalf of NSCN/R. The National Socialist Council of Nagaland/Ok-Khango entered into a fresh ceasefire settlement with Union government from Monday for a length of one 12 months, remark stated.
