Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Corporation Contractors’ Welfare Association has recommended the state government to keep an eye on the cement price, which has been expanding exorbitantly in recent times.
The association recently submitted a petition to the special secretary of Tamil Nadu Okay Padmanaban looking for to keep an eye on the cement price. The petition was referred to the manager secretary of business for further action.

In the petition, the association mentioned the cement price has larger from Rs 340 according to bag in January to Rs 380 according to bag in February, an build up of 11.7%. The price upward thrust has affected construction business and government contractors. A cement bag prices about Rs 330 in neighboring states, including Telengana and Andhra Pradesh.
