SURAT: A 40-year-old single diamond polisher was on Sunday arrested through police officers from a space beneath the limits of Puna police station for allegedly sodomizing and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy for the past 365 days. The accused had lured the category X student through giving him Rs10 and later sodomized him at his space.
Accused Kanu Kathrotiya, a resident of Kargil Chowk, was boy’s neighbour. He was arrested through police on a criticism through the boy’s father. The accused was booked for unnatural sex and sexual attack beneath Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Police investigation revealed that the sufferer were threatened through the accused of dire penalties if he complained to someone. The youngster didn't inform someone because he was scared. After showing in class X examination, he recently joined a diamond polishing unit to learn polishing but was not able to concentrate. A colleague asked him the rationale and he described intimately his ordeal and later to employer too. They knowledgeable his circle of relatives about it.
“We have arrested the accused and started investigation. The boy may just no longer inform someone concerning the sexual attack on him because he were threatened,” stated a police officer at Puna police station.
