JAMMU: Pakistani troops on Monday lobbed mortars and opened hearth alongside the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, drawing retaliation from Indian troops.
"At about 0815 hours, Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing of small arms along the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district" PRO defence, mentioned. The Indian Army is retaliating effectively, he mentioned.
Pakistani troops on Friday shelled forward areas in Swajin sector of Poonch, leaving three individuals injured.
On Tuesday final, the Indian Army destroyed seven Pakistani military posts around the Line of Control in retaliation to the ongoing ceasefire violations by them.
With Pakistan using heavy weaponry and 120 mm mortar bombs targeting civilian areas alongside the LoC in Poonch, other folks were prompt to stay indoors, officers mentioned.
