ALIGARH: Attacking the anti-BJP alliance formed for the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said while people wanted to eliminate terrorism, the ones within the "maha milawat" wanted to remove him from power.

Addressing a ballot rally in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh, Modi asked the group, "Tell me whether terrorism should be eliminated or not, whether we should enter Pakistan and kill the terrorists, whether we should conduct surgical strikes and airstrikes, whether our jawans should get a free hand or not? Has your chowkidar done the right thing?" The crowd answered, "Yes."


Hitting out on the anti-BJP alliance, the Prime Minister said, "You are announcing terrorism should be eliminated, but the ones within the maha milawat say Modi should be removed. This will assist them run their politics, but will or not it's really useful for the rustic?

"Imagine only for a second that if there was a small goof within the surgical strike or airstrikes carried out through us, wouldn't all of them have ripped Modi apart (Modi ki chamdhi udhedh dete ki nahi, Modi ke baal noch lete ki nahi)?.... But what would happen to Modi afterward, should the decision be in keeping with this? Modi never thinks about himself, he thinks about the nation."

He said his undertaking was to "get rid of terrorism, corruption and illness, and alleviate poverty".

The Prime Minister also said it was his dream to look the defence hall.

"All the arms wanted through the militia will probably be produced right here and Aligarh will get the biggest have the benefit of it," he added.

Stating that Uttar Pradesh may just not attain where it deserved within the nation because of its politics, Modi said, "People discuss Bengaluru, Chennai and Ahmedabad. Tell me whether they should also discuss UP or not? Should we permit this sort of powerful state to languish?"

"I need to take UP to the #1 spot as far as the economy and the social set-up are involved. I need to repair UP's glory, which it had enjoyed within the era of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. And for this, I want your give a boost to."

On a couple of events throughout his speech that lasted for over 20 mins, the Prime Minister requested some members of the group to climb down the structure erected for the rally in order to keep away from any untoward incident.

'Strength of Babasaheb's Constitution that a chaiwala is PM'

The PM said it is because of the strength of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's Constitution that a man from a disadvantaged and exploited magnificence is President, a person from a farmer's circle of relatives is Vice President and a 'chaiwala' is the PM.

"It is the strength of Babasaheb's Constitution that a gentleman hailing from disadvantaged and exploited magnificence has develop into the President (Ram Nath Kovind), while the Vice-President ( M Venkaiah Naidu) is from a farmer's circle of relatives," he said on the rally, on the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution.

"Thanks to Babasaheb's Constitution, a 'chaiwala' (tea-seller) is conserving the high minister's put up," Modi said.


In an obvious jibe on the SP-BSP-RLD alliance in Uttar Pradesh, Modi asked, "Those who aren't contesting on all 40 Lok Sabha seats (within the state), can they offer a Prime Minister?"


In Uttar Pradesh, the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is contesting 38 Lok Sabha seats, while the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) has fielded candidates from 37 parliamentary constituencies.


There are three Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidates within the ballot fray from the state.


The alliance has left two seats of Rae Bareli and Amethi for the Congress.
