MUMBAI: Santacruz police, who arrested two persons from Bulandshahr (UP) on Friday after gold embellishes value Rs 8 lakh had been stolen from businessman Pradeep Gala’s (51) flat on March 15, had been aided by way of a message that a domestic help, Vanita Gaikwad, won from suspect Narmada alias Asha alias Sangeeta alias Deepa Soyeb Khan (32). Police tracked down Narmada after she sent a selfie to her friend, in which she had worn the stolen embellishes.
Narmada used to be unaware about Gaikwad’s arrest for a similar robbery closing month. “After confirming the number belonged to Narmada, who worked at Gala’s flat for 2 hours on March 15, police found her travelling to UP.
She clicked the selfie in the train whilst leaving Mumbai. The workforce got main points on Narmada, wanted in at least 12 robbery circumstances, from her WhatsApp profile. Photos of 2 her children and the uniform badges helped us to find they had been in a public school,” said a police officer of Santacruz police station.
