Nagpur: It used to be an evening flavoured with the melodies of musical stalwarts Kishore Kumar, RD Burman, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle and Mohd Rafi as Harmony Events presented a gala titled ‘Saaz Aur Awaaz’, at Deshpande Hall, Civil Lines, on Sunday.
The auditorium used to be suffused with the mellow voices of singers Vijay Dhavle, Rupali Das Roy, Sangeeta Roy Karmakar, Shrikant Sapre, Shrikant Brahmane, Dr Rashmi Kolhe, T Balakrishnan, Jaya Dabhekar and Swapnil Titre.
Dhavle set the tone together with his rendition of ‘Yeh khuda har faisla’ adopted via Roy, who presented ‘Yeh zindagi usi ki hai’. Next on stage used to be Karmakar’s magical voice in her rendition of ‘Hum tere bina jee na sakenge sanam’. Sapre raised the pace of the night time together with his dynamic performance on ‘Yeh jawaani hai deewani’.
Audience of all age teams had been present to witness the mellifluous performances at the songs ‘Pucho na kaise maine’, ‘Suraj hua maddhyam’, ‘Sochenge tumhe pyar’, ‘Kitna pyara vada’, ‘Deewani mastani ho gayi’, ‘Chaap tilak’ and ‘Piya re piya re’.
The hall reverberated with the tunes of songs like ‘O mere shahe khuda’, ‘Ooi ma ooi ma yeh kya ho gaya’, ‘Jaha teri yeh nazar hai’, ‘Saanson ki zaroorat hai jaise’, ‘Likhe jo khat tujhe’, ‘Mere pyaar ki umar ho’, ‘Dil ka nazraana le’, ‘Kora kagaz tha yeh mann mera’ and ‘Teri aankho ke siva duniya mein’.
The whole workforce joined in to ship an impactful performance on ‘Jeevan ke din chhote sahi’ in opposition to the top of the programme.
The host for the night time Shweta Shelgaonkar amused the target market with fascinating trivia in regards to the songs and its artists. The display used to be conceptualized via Rajesh Samarth.
The singers had been accompanied via Mahendra Dhole at the keyboard, Amar Shende on violin, guitarist Prakash Chavan, Ankit Dahekar on tabla and dholak, Nandu Gohane at the octopod, Rajesh Dhamankar at the congo and Ujjwala Gokarn at the conflict cymbals.
Sound used to be supplied via Audiology, lighting fixtures via Michael, visuals via Manoj Pidadi and the stage used to be set via Rajesh Ameen.
