Telangana: 7 dead in road mishap in Suryapet

HYDERABAD: Seven persons died in Suryapet district after the autorickshaw by which they were travelling in was once hit via a speeding lorry on Sunday afternoon. The deceased were returning to Kodad after collaborating in Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Thamera village


Suryapet police stated that the incident came about at three.40pm when 9 persons were travelling in an autorickshaw between Kodad Town and Khammam crossroads. The autorickshaw motive force, in his attempt to overtake a car, ended up hitting a lorry coming from the opposite direction.


Five persons died on the spot and the remaining four were shifted to a neighborhood medical institution the place two extra persons succumbed to the injuries.


"It was once at Thamera village the place the Ram Navami pageant celebrations were organised. After visiting where, victims were returning to Kodad and enroute the mishap came about. The location the place the mishap came about is not accident vulnerable and the incident was once brought about due to negligent riding of autorickshaw and overspeeding of lorry,’’ Suryapet superintendent of police, R Venkateshwarlu stated.
