GUWAHATI: The Assam Police workforce, investigating the 'arguable statements' made by way of Arshad Madani, has reportedly seized on Sunday a number of paperwork associated with the general public assembly where he was once provide.


"Police have seized several documents including the booking details, invitations and other materials. Electronic evidence was also analysed," resources instructed TOI. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind (JUeH) president, in a gathering in New Delhi on November 13, had stated Assam would witness unrest if the NRC updating process excludes local Muslims. The comment prompted state-wide protests and no less than four instances had been lodged towards him within the state. The police workforce has additionally recorded the statements of no less than six place of job bearers of the Delhi Action Committee for Assam (DACA) that organised the assembly.


Madani had stated his statements had been misunderstood in Assam as he had delivered his speech in Urdu. Meanwhile, protests are continuing within the state demanding Madani to be arrested and booked below the National Security Act for worrying communal unity.
