Cong plans campaign to counter BJP

Pune: The city Congress unit will release a "Congress Connect" campaign to counter Bharatiya Janata Party's claims that the party has achieved not anything within the last 60 years for the country.

Senior Congress chief Mohan Joshi on Tuesday stated folks were being inaccurate with false claims. The party will counter this misconception via achieving out to youths. After Pune, the party intends to take this campaign to every district around the state in a phased means by which party staff will talk about the function the Congress played within the country's construction, he stated at a news conference.

Joshi stated the party will grasp week-long programmes from December 2 to mark party president Sonia Gandhi's birthday. The release of "Congress Connect" is part of the programmes right through the week. This will be the 13th 12 months Congress has arranged a carrier, responsibility, sacrifice week, he stated. State president Ashok Chavan will release the campaign while former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan will attend the concluding ceremony on December nine.
