Speaking to journalists after holding a meeting with the excise officials right here on Tuesday, he stated that though distilling of illicit liquor has stopped in many rural spaces of Dharwad district, it's still prevalent in some villages. "Action will be taken against officials if they fail to curb illicit liquor," he stated.
Timmapur stated that after receiving court cases, officials had been asked to raid eating places where liquor is bought illegally.
