Shiv Sena MP could face action for hate speech

Belagavi: Police will take action in opposition to the provocative speech of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut overdue Thursday evening at a private programme here. With regard to the Karnataka-Maharashtra border dispute, Raut mentioned Maharashtra was once with Marathi-speaking people on the Karnataka border. He added that the Marathi language issue is with reference to his middle, and he’ll discuss on it even though the model code of conduct is in power. ‘I’m not afraid; I’m ready to tackle 100 circumstances,” he mentioned.

City police commissioner DC Rajappa mentioned action can be initiated in opposition to all those that made provocative speeches and those who allowed the premises to be used for it underneath the PIC and Representation of the People’s Act and Religion Institution (Prevention of Misuse Act) after taking legal opinion.


He mentioned the organizers had violated the first point in the code of conduct for political parties.
