First phase budget session of Odisha assembly concludes

BHUBANESWAR: The first-phase of the funds session of the state meeting concluded on Saturday with passage of the appropriation of Rs 16,500 crore vote-on-account for the primary month of 2018-19 financial 12 months.

“Since it used to be not imaginable to complete the entire funds process via end of the present financial 12 months (March 31), we have determined to go for vote on account to continue financial allocation to ongoing programmes,” said finance minister Shashi Bhusan Behera.

The annual funds value Rs 1.20 lakh crore for 2018-19 fiscal used to be offered in the state meeting via Behera on March 23.

The 2nd part will start from April 11 and continue until May five, according to the agenda. Appropriation bill of the total funds can be handed on April 30.
