Pressure on police to file fake cases: Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: There used to be "tremendous" force on the town police to check in faux, politically motivated instances against AAP leaders, Delhi leader minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed on Friday, after he used to be puzzled in connection with the alleged assault on leader secretary Anshu Prakash at his dwelling in February.
He stated the AAP executive used to be doing "very well" and and the Centre, which wanted to throw spanners in its works, had sent the police and the lieutenant governor after it.

Kejriwal claimed it used to be for the first time in the country's history that a leader minister used to be puzzled in "such a fake" case.

In a remark he posted on Twitter in a while after the wondering ended, the manager minister stated it used to be intended to bother the AAP, however "we will continue to work for the country till our last breath".

He, then again, stated the wondering took place in a "very congenial atmosphere" at his camp office-cum-residence in Civil Lines here.

"The police are not at fault. There is tremendous pressure on them to register fake cases. We will continue to cooperate with the investigating agencies in each case," he stated.

"Like other cases were dismissed, the remaining ones will also be rejected because these are fake and politically motivated," he stated.

"The AAP government is doing very well in the fields of education, health, power, and water. The AAP is becoming increasingly popular among the masses. The BJP at the Centre wants to stop its works and therefore, it has sent the police and the LG after us," he alleged.


He stated the "fake cases" registered against him, his ministers, MLAs and kin can be disregarded one by one by way of the courts.


Prakash used to be allegedly assaulted all the way through a meeting at Kejriwal's official dwelling on February 19. The police stated the manager minister used to be present when the incident took place.


Kejriwal had agreed to enroll in the probe following a notice by way of the Delhi Police on May 16.


The police have already puzzled 11 AAP MLAs, who attended the assembly, in connection with the case. Two of the party legislators -- Amantullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal -- were arrested.
