Coimbatore: A 29-year-old girl police constable was found hanging in her quarters at the Police Recruitment School (PRS) campus here on Friday.
The deceased was known Priya, spouse of Navaneethakrishnan, a local of Theni district. “She was recruited in February 2013. After the training, she was posted on the armed reserve police in Coimbatore city. She had separated from her husband a few years in the past.
While she was running in the Government Railway Police and was staying on my own in the police quarters, her two children were staying at her mom’s space in Kavundamapalayam. She had returned to the quarters after completing work on Thursday night. She was found hanging on Friday afternoon,” a police officer mentioned.
The body was sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for postmortem.
Race Course police have registered a case. Further investigation is on.
