4 teens drown at Palghar's Kelwe beach

MUMBAI: In a sad incident, four teens drowned at Palghar's Kelwe seashore on Sunday. While one frame has been recovered, search operation is on to trace the lacking three. The boys had gone for a picnic on the seashore.

The frame of Deepak Chawlwale (17) used to be fished out by local fishermen. Three others Gaurav Sawant (17), Sanket Jogle (17) and Devidas Jadhav (16) were rescued by fishermen.

Three others of the crowd Dipesh Pednekar (17), Kshitij Naik (15) and Tushar Chipte (15) who were also swimming within the water on the seashore in Dadra Pada of Kelwe are lacking.

The crew had deliberate a picnic to the seashore a couple of days ago. The boys left their houses in Santosh Bhuvan, Nalasopara (east) on Sunday morning.

They travelled by train to Kelwe and reached the seashore by around 10am. The boys were given into the water and were taking part in. A few of them knew swimming and ventured deep within the sea.

At around 2.30pm, because the water began rising, the kids found themselves trapped within the sea. They raised an alarm which alerted local fishermen who controlled to avoid wasting three boys.


Those lacking are feared to were over excited by the strong water present.


The frame of Deepak used to be recovered within the water. The frame used to be pulled out and brought to the close by health center.


The rescued teens were also admitted to the health center the place their condition is stable.


Efforts are on to look for the three lacking teens.
