Hubballi: All resorts, bars, accommodations, sweet shops, bakeries, side road vending shops and others shops remained closed until evening on Monday as a part of the bandh call given by way of lodge owners association. The association had given the bandh call to protest the attack on a lodge proprietor and labourers by way of some youths in a lodge close to Basava Vana a few days in the past.
The Hubballi Hotel Sangha, together with various organisations, took out a rally from the Sangha’s place of job on Maratha Galli in Hubballi and condemned the widespread attacks on hoteliers and other buyers within the meals business from the past few months.
The rally handed through Old Mysore Store Cross, Dajiban Peth, Sangolli Rayanna Circle earlier than attaining the tahsildar’s place of job.
The protesters submitted a memorandum urging chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwara to strengthen the safety of the ones within the meals business.
Addressing the protesters, Hubballi Hotel Sangha president Krishnamurthy Uchilla stated there's need of strict enforcement of regulation against regulation breakers.
Hoteliers are going through widespread assaults and but the victims don't seem to be getting any justice. There is a need to begin stern action against those that are breaking the regulation by way of attacking innocents, added Krishnamurthy.
Former Sangha president Sudhakar Shetty stated assaults on hoteliers and others involved within the meals business have greater in Hubballi-Dharwad. “Police should begin stern action against the perpetrators. The state government should take critical observe of the incidents and supply safety to the buyers. If such incidents don't seem to be curtailed and if police fail to arrest those that assaulted a lodge proprietor and labourers, the Sangha will launch a state-wide agitation,” he added.
