Karnataka: PU students now responsible for their poor attendance

MANGALURU: Students of plus one and plus two (Pre University) in Karnataka will now need to stay 75 in line with cent attendance as a way to get permission to look for tests.

Students must give it in writing that: “I can come to the classes continuously, and please permit me to write tests only if I've 75% or more attendance. If not, I can take responsibility.”

Notification to this effect has been sent to all the Pre University schools in the state through PU Education Board.

Earlier, if students had been barred from taking tests due to the low attendance, they used to go to the courtroom or put the responsibility on academics and principals.

“The new device is the best imaginable choice, so that students additionally develop the responsibility, mentioned” a PU Lecturer Jayaprakash Rao.
