BENGALURU: Amid voices of dissent, the government on Thursday gave the fairway signal for development of the 102kmlong elevated hall spanning the town and geared toward decongesting Bengaluru’s unruly traffic through 2025.
Work at the proposed hall, which can attach northsouth, east-west and central parts of the town, will probably be taken up through Karnataka Road Development Corporation Limited (KRDCL). As of now, the project is estimated to price the state executive Rs 25,495 crore, which contains the price of land acquisition. A sum of Rs 1,000 crore has been earmarked for this year within the state budget.
“We want to achieve 92 acres of land and pay reimbursement. We will complete all acquisitions and take possession of land in a year,” stated leader minister HD Kumaraswamy, quickly after a evaluation assembly.
Of the 92 acres, the CM stated only about 17 acres belong to personal people. “On executive land, the elevated roads can have six lanes, whilst the roads involving private properties will probably be two-lane ones, with a width of 3.5m.
