GURUGRAM: Seven transgender individuals were arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of every other transgender on Wednesday. They have been produced in a city courtroom and sent to judicial custody on Thursday.
Those arrested were recognized as Meenu and Vikas, residents of Hisar, Vasu, a resident of Rewari, Raju, who lives in Panipat, and Sonepat resident Joginder. Deviram, a resident of Jind, and Ravikant, a resident of Bhiwani, have been also arrested.
The primary accused in the case, Panipat resident Surender alias Pinda, is on the run together with his accomplices Priyanka and Babli. Raids are being carried out to nab them, police said.
Rajni (30) was once shot lifeless when a group of transgenders led via her clashed with every other staff, led via Meenu, close to Kherki Daula toll plaza on Wednesday night. The two teams had come to blows over which staff should get money all through weddings and other functions. Surender allegedly whipped out a gun and shot Rajni all through the brawl.
An FIR was once filed on Wednesday night time towards the ten accused under Section 307 (murder) of the IPC at Kherki Daula police station. “A dispute have been happening between the two teams for a few years now. The primary accused shall be arrested quickly,” ACP (crime) Shamsher Singh Dahiya said.
