VARANASI: After Hindutva outfits like VHP, RSS and Shiv Sena, senior Congress leader and previous Maharastra cabinet minister, Kripashankar Singh too has joined the bandwagon and is now openly batting for fast building of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Singh at the side of his spouse used to be right here in Varanasi to participate in Dev Deepawali celebrations on Friday.
“A grand temple of Lord Ram should be built in Ayodhya at the earliest. I can be happier if the construction begins the next day to come (Sunday), and I too will pass there to offer prayers,” said Singh whilst talking to mediapersons on Saturday.
He also prompt the Supreme Court to go to Ayodhya to look the ground realities. “Mera honourable Supreme Court se agrah hai ki ek baar Ayodhya chale jayen, samajh lein, koi vakeel ki jaroorat nahi hogi (I beg honourable Supreme Court to make a discuss with to Ayodhya to take first hand account, I'm certain no lawyer will be needed to pursue the case),” he said.
“There should be no politics on temple issue, all parties and other folks should come together to construct a grand temple at Lord Ram’s birthplace with which sentiments of crores of people are hooked up,” he added. “It is painful to look the war over the construction of Ram temple in India. I've been visiting Varanasi on auspicious events for last 20 years. I pray to Lord Vishwanath for early building of Ram temple in Ayodhya,” Singh further said.
He added that politically he used to be a Congressman, however religiously his sentiments have been hooked up with Ram temple like crores of Indians.
When requested in regards to the collecting of other folks from saffron outfits in Ayodhya to exert drive on the govt for temple building, he said, “Dabav banane ki jarurat nahi hai, bas mandir ban jana chahiye. Chahe Pradhan Mantri hon, kanoon mantri, grih mantri ya UP ke mukhyamantri hon, hum sabko tadap hai Bhagwan Ram ke prati (There is no use of exerting drive. Whether it's Prime Minister, law minister, home minister or UP leader minister, all people have robust sentiment for Lord Ram).”
