Cricketers Hardik Pandya and Ok L Rahul besides filmmaker Karan Johar were booked over objectionable remarks made in opposition to women right through a TV show, a police legit stated Wednesday. Confirming the registration of the case in opposition to the three, Luni police station in-charge Bansi Lal stated it was lodged on the orders of a magisterial courtroom right here.
The police have begun investigating it, the station area officer added.
The courtroom ordered registration of the FIR in opposition to the 2 cricketers and the filmmaker on a criticism of Luni resident D R Meghwal.
Meghwal had moved the courtroom in the hunt for registration of the case in opposition to the three pronouncing that they had used "vulgar and obscene" remarks in opposition to women right through Karan's chat show.
Accusing Karan Johar of intentionally together with the offensive content in his TV show, he stated, the remarks had been made purposefully to augment the popularity of the show.
Earlier in May 2018, Meghwal had field every other case in opposition to Hardik Pandya, accusing him of posting remarks in opposition to Dalit icon B R Ambedkar on his twitter account.
Pandya, alternatively, had refuted the allegations pointing out that he by no means did it and the twitter account on which the anti-Ambedkar remarks had been posted was no longer his account.
