MUMBAI: The Maharashtra executive plans to make Mumbai and Thane kerosene-free within the next two months, Kailash Pagare, rationing controller for the 2 cities, mentioned on Saturday.


Pagare mentioned call for for kerosene had long past down considerably within the two cities and stood at 1,896 kilolitres (kl) in opposition to five,839 kilolitres in June ultimate 12 months.


The drop in kerosene usage had saved the government Rs 12.14 crore as it cost Rs 19.five in keeping with litre, Pagare informed.
