AGRA: An eight-year-old woman was found allegedly raped and murdered in Firozabad district on Monday early morning.
A resident of Chandpura village under Sirsaganj police jurisdiction just about Firozabad-Mainpuri border, the sufferer was lacking since Sunday evening after she had long past to attend a function organised by means of her neighbours.
Elder one in all two siblings, the sufferer’s body was recovered in a wheat field some 200 metres clear of her home.
Based on her mother’s grievance, police lodged an FIR in opposition to a 33-year-old native resident.
The accused was recognized as Bantu Singh, an unmarried man with whom the sufferer was remaining seen by means of neighbours. According to police, after the incident, accused Bantu Singh is absconding.

Enraged over the ugly murder villagers reached Bantu’s place of abode, but he was found lacking,” said Preeti’s mother.
Superintendent of police (rural), Rajesh Kumar of Firozabad said, “Prima facie it seems that the sufferer was sexually assaulted and then strangulated to loss of life. Her body has been sent for autopsy examination. The forensic group have amassed vital samples and evidences from the spot. Our police group is now looking for the accused Bantu.”
Scores of sweet sixteen women had been reported victims of rape and murder within the house in recent years.
