AHMEDABAD: A Thaltej-based wedding planner on Tuesday filed a grievance with Sola top court police stating that he have been cheated of Rs 87 lakh via a city-based businessman who refused to pay the bills after having his son's wedding arranged in a princely means.
Police stated that the complainant, Tushar Ajmera, a resident of Sursagar Tower in Ghatlodia, who runs a marriage making plans firm in Thaltej, had five years ago signed a memorandum of figuring out (MoU) with a Shilaj resident, Navneet Modi to organize Modi's son's wedding. Modi runs a pharmaceutical production unit. "It was decided in the MoU that Ajmera will provide decoration materials, catering service, photography and videography of the wedding. The complainant said that he had brought a drone from Singapore to shoot the wedding and had to give Rs 1 lakh per day to its operator. Thus, each and every affair of the marriage was so expensive that the entire cost reached Rs 1.52 crore," stated the professional.
Out of Rs 1.52 crore, Modi had paid Rs 65 lakh in instalments but when Ajmera demanded remainder of the cash, the accused particular person threatened him and stated that he would no longer pay any further.
After this, Ajmera approached police and filed a grievance of dishonest, breach of agree with and felony intimidation.
