Vadodara: A physician from Surat was arrested for allegedly raping a married girl at a lodge in town between 2013 and 2017. The girl had registered a criticism of rape and criminal intimidation towards Dr Vipul Mistry, a paediatrician , at Sayajigunj police station on Monday night.
According to the lady’s criticism, Mistry were given in touch with her when she and her husband shifted to Mumbai from Malaysia. The girl and the physician had met each and every different via a matrimonial web site. However, her parents had became down the proposal and she was married off to a chartered accountant. The girl alleged that Mistry contacted her via Facebook when she returned to Mumbai and wanted to meet her. When the lady confirmed readiness to meet, Mistry went to Mumbai and they met at a lodge the place he allegedly raped her.
Later, they even met a number of occasions at a lodge in Sayajigunj the place he raped her time and again. The girl even become pregnant and delivered a toddler boy. Police resources mentioned that all this whilst she didn't inform someone, but her husband become suspicious around two years back when the son’s blood group didn't fit with both of the fogeys. When her husband faced, the lady advised him about her contact with Mistry.
The girl then approached Mistry as he had allegedly promised to marry her. But when Mistry also refused to accept her, she approached the police.
Following the criticism, Mistry was arrested from his house in Singanpore area of Surat on Tuesday. Police officers mentioned that Mistry runs a kids’s health facility in Surat.
On Wednesday, an area courtroom despatched Mistry to judicial custody.
