Workshop on empowering training and placement officers held

PUNE: A workshop on 'Empowering Training and Placement Officers' used to be organised at the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering not too long ago. Associate Vice President (Human Resources) of Nitor Infotech, Rohini Wagh used to be the executive guest at the tournament.

While turning in her inaugural cope with, Wagh elaborated at the role of training and location officers for tutorial institutions and organisations. "If TPOs enhance the T part of their role, P is bound to happen. The role of TPOs is extremely important as everything is revolving around creating placements and jobs. The age-old industry-academia association could be more fruitful if both come together and evolve as the increasing number of institutions and students has impacted the quality and quantity of graduates," she defined.


CEO of Focus Integrated Talent, Jitendra Sandu, CEO Simplicity Communications, Ajitabh Dutta and design pondering guide Prabhuling Zunja were the guests of honour for the workshop. The workshop noticed participation of senior HR group of workers from more than a few industries and TPOs from over 55 schools from Maharashtra.


Sandu stated, "The challenge to TPOs is that over 3,000 engineering colleges are producing 15 lakh engineers every year where only one lakh get jobs. Approximately 45 lakh students are unemployed and 51 per cent of these are employable. There is a need to focus on strengths and address areas of improvements to create a focused integrated talent."


Dutta spoke concerning the significance and role of virtual advertising for TPOs whilst Zunza elaborated on how design pondering may also be implemented in teachers for higher training.


Dean and Principal of BV (DU) COE, Anand Bhalerao spoke on how directive efforts may also be taken for making students employable by means of academia and industry together.
