HYDERABAD: A 10-year-old girl used to be allegedly raped and killed via a labourer in Nirmal district of Telangana, police stated on Sunday.
The incident happened in Soan mandal of the district on Saturday, they stated.
The accused Pravin Kumar(26) took the lady, who used to be enjoying near her area, to an isolated place below some pretext and allegedly "raped and later murdered" her, police stated.
The girl's oldsters searched for her and later lodged a criticism with the police after which a lacking case used to be registered.
Subsequently, some locals found the frame of the minor girl this afternoon and alerted her oldsters and police, they added.
Police picked up Pravin and during the course of investigation he reportedly confessed to "raping and murdering" the lady.
A case has been registered below related sections of IPC and below related provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, the police stated.
